Do you only care for horses?
Yes, we specialize exclusively in horse care. Our focused expertise allows us to provide the highest level of dedicated care in the heart of the horse capital of the world.
What's included in our Neighcare packages?
Our packages include AM and/or PM feeding, stall cleaning, water refills, turn in and/or turn out, hoof care, wellness checks, and basic medication and supplement administration. We also provide real-time updates with texts, videos, and photos to keep you connected with your horse’s well-being.
How do you customize care plans for different horses?
During our Signature Equine Consultation, we discuss your horse’s specific needs and routines. If it’s determined that the care required is more in-depth and may take longer than our standard one-hour visit, we will adjust the rate accordingly. Our goal is to ensure that your horse receives personalized care that aligns with their health and comfort requirements.
Can you administer supplements and medication?
Yes, administering basic supplements or medications that can be mixed with food, given as treats, or applied as topical ointments or through inhalers is included in our regular Neighcare package. For more involved treatments, such as administering medications via syringe or managing wound care, there may be an additional charge based on the estimated time and complexity of the care needed.
How do I sign up if I’m a new client?
Getting started with Neighcare is simple:

Is an in-person meet and greet necessary?
Yes, an in-person meet and greet is crucial. It allows us to meet your horse, assess their environment, and understand their specific needs. This visit also enables us to locate where your horse’s supplies are kept, ensuring we can provide seamless care. It sets the foundation for personalized service and ensures that every aspect of our care meets your expectations.
Does Neighcare have insurance?
Yes, Neighcare is fully insured and we can provide a certificate of coverage upon request.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 72 hours before the scheduled service without any charge. Cancellations made later than this period may incur a fee.
What are your holiday rates?
Our holiday rates apply on major holidays, including Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Please contact us for specific pricing details.
How do I schedule service?
Once you’ve completed our meet-and-greet and onboarding process, you become a part of our Neighcare family and can easily schedule services through our online scheduling tool.
Can you accommodate short-notice requests?
While we typically recommend booking services at least 2 weeks in advance, we understand that unexpected needs can arise. We often can accommodate short-notice requests, especially for clients who have completed our onboarding process. Once onboarding is complete, you will have access to our scheduling tool, which allows you to view and book available slots conveniently. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible to check our current availability.
